Need a drink idea for a girls night....

Anything festive you can suggest?

Re: Need a drink idea for a girls night....

  • When I was in Vegas I went to the Beatles bar and they had a drink called "Strawberry Fields Forever" which was pink, fruity, and super tasty. I don't know the amounts of each of the ingredients, but you could play around with it.

    It contained:

    Stawberry Stoli

    Peach Schnapps

    Cranberry Juice

    Sweet & Sour Mix

  • Festive for what? Fall/Thanksgiving?

    Caramel Apple Martinis

    Pumpkintini

    Apple Cinnamon Martini

    Eggnog

    Apple Cider with Butterscotch Schnapps

    For Christmas?

    Kahula/Baileys and Cream, my favorite!

    Eggnog

Peppermint Punch that has peppermint ice cream, milk and ginger ale in it. You could spike it up with mint vodka, or some sort of chocolate liqueor.

    Mint Chocolate Martinis

    In General?

    Cosmos

    Chocolate Martinis

    Hurricanes

  • peach schnapps, grenadine, and champagne. yum! i made these recently at a girls weekend:)

and ive been dying to try this:
Pumpkin Pie Martinis Ingredients: Ice cubes 2 ounces (1/4 cup) vanilla vodka 2 ounces (1/4 cup) cr?me de cacao 1/4 cup heavy cream 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice Whipped cream, for garnish

    Directions:

    1. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes. Add the vanilla vodka, cr?me de cacao, heavy cream and pumpkin pie spice and shake well.

    2. Dip the rims of 2 martini glasses into a bowl of whipped cream. Strain the cocktail into the glasses.

  • Gummy bear martinis! A girlfriend of mine just showed me these a couple weeks ago.. soooooooo good (recipe was retrieved from e-how.com)! You will need:

    Lemon Flavored Rum
    Vodka
    Southern Comfort
    Dry Vermouth
    Bar Sugar
    Gummy Bears
    Ice
    Shaker
    Lemon Wedge or Slice

    1. Rim your cocktail glass. Take your bar sugar and rim a chilled martini glass. Do this by taking a lemon slice and wiping it along the edge of the glass. This will moisten the glass, then dip into the sugar. Shake off any additional sugar.

    2

Combine ingredients. In a shaker, combine 4 parts lemon flavored rum, 2 parts vodka, 1 part Southern Comfort, 1/2 teaspoon of dry vermouth and a dash of lemon juice.

    3

Add ice to the shaker, and cap the top.

    4

Shake, shake, shake. Shake the drink for at least 30 seconds to mix the flavors.

    5

Pour the drink. Using the strainer, pour the drink into your chilled, rimmed glass. Using the standard shot glass for measuring, this makes 2 Gummy Bear Martinis.

    6

Sprinkle a few Gummy Bears into your drink. They will add a festive quality to your drink.

  • Do you  like champagne?  There's a yummy drink that includes a cherry called "French Kiss" tha I'm sure you can google.

Another option, that we just did for my BFF's Shower was a Champagne Bar.  We had bubbly, orange juice, pomegranate juice and slices of fresh strawberries.  You could also add raspberries and peach schnapps (sp?) to the options.  It's fun and interactive.

  • Ruby Slipper:   1:1 Vanilla vodka and gin with a splash of cranberry juice and squeeze of lime juice.  Shake like hell and strain into martini glass

I'm sorry and I mean no offense, but this sounds foul and cloyingly sweet.  It seems like it would appeal to the 18-19 year old crowd.

You could do peach bellinis or, my personal favorite, lemon gin martinis.  If you want something fall/holiday inspired, I'd do something creamy with Bailey's or something with apple or pear, like this drink (The Autumn Orchard).

  • I disagree to the comment about the gummy bear martini's, to me it sounds very creative
  • Thanks! They are very cute and delish!  Not foul at all! LOL!!!

  • Pudding Shots aka "Cosbys" are the best.  They were served at our 30th birthday weekend and were the biggest hit.  Instead of re-typing everything here, I have the basic recipe (Chocolate Bailey's) and variations on the recipe (White Chocolate Kahlua) on my blog, near the bottom.  It's http://partyhostess.blogspot.com/

(You can click on the "Alcohol" label on the side of the blog, and it will take you right to the Pudding Shots post.)
