It's that time of year again :-)
Got a email from DH's cousin stating that they were hosting thanksgiving dinner at their home again this year, and wanted to extend an invitation to our family to join them. We thought that it was very sweet, but DH and I decided that we wanted to stay home with the kids this year. We went to their house last year for thanksgiving, then road around town with our three little kiddies visiting other relatives. It was very tiring, and wore us completly out. So, we decided to spend this year at home.
DH's cousin called me yesterday, and I told her that we decided to spend this year at home, and that if we get a sitter later that night we may drop by. I could tell there was disapointment, but a girl had to do what a girl had to do :-).
We haven't communicated our decision with the inlaws yet, but we already plan to extend them an invitation to "visit/stop by" if they would like. This will be our very first holiday "at home", and we are excited because we don't have to spend most of our holiday in a car.
