Sick Toddler :(

He felt warm when I picked him up from daycare, took his temp when we got home. 102, I gave him motrin and it didn't really do much, gave him some tylenol about and hour ago and he's down to 101 now. I'm going to have to go check on him every 4 hrs tonight and give him motrin or tylenol. He went from just having a fever to being miserable pretty quickly. His nose started running like crazy, his eyes are watering, he's coughing and he got chills when I changed him into his PJs. He has done nothing but cuddle all evening, poor thing is sleeping now. DH is going to stay home from work with him tomorrow since I can't take him to daycare.

Re: Sick Toddler :(

  • Hopefully it'll pass in a day or so.  It seems to be going around, that's for sure.  Keep a close eye on him, as I know several people (kids and adults) with pneumonia right now.

R had a temp. over the weekend - from when he woke up after nap on Friday until Sunday morning.  It ranged in the 101-103 range.  He never really got the runny nose or anything else - but we could just tell he wasn't feeling himself since his eyes looked all droopy and he just wanted to read books.  He slept a LOT.  like from 830pm until 9:15am, then took a 4 hr. nap on Saturday and still went to bed by 8:30 Saturday night and slept til 7 the next day.

     Thankfully, he's been fine since.

  • Hopefully he is better soon.  I am praying not to pass what I've got to Alex.

  • Our whole family has it too... myself included. It's pretty miserable. :(

    Hope he feels better soon!

  • I hope he feels better soon.  It sucks when little ones are sick.

Davis has the same thing, it started out yesterday morning with a little cough and progressed through the day to a constant cough, sneeze, runny nose, low grade fever and huge rash all over his face.  He coughed all night in his sleep.
