Do I need to do anything to winterize my strawberries or are they good to go by themselves?
Is it too late to plant spring bulbs in zone 6(a)?

Re: Strawberries and bulbs
just put some hay over the strawberry plants.
I'm in TN. I was going to plant bulbs sometime in the next two weeks.
Ditto H4S. I just cover my strawberries with mulch and call it a day. They are hardy little things.
It's not too late to plant bulbs. As long as the ground isn't frozen, you can plant them. I've waited to plant my bulbs because the weather has been so off and on. Cool one day and warm the next. I may plant some iris bulbs this weekend. I try to get mine done by Thanksgiving.
And since you're in KY, you need a copy of my favorite gardening book - The Tennessee and Kentucky Gardener's Guide by Judy Lowe. I LOVE that book. She identifies trees, shrubs, bulbs, annual, perennials that do well in TN & KY. It's a fantastic garden reference.
