Do you put marshmallows on your sweet potatoes?

I am curious... I have never understood the idea of putting marshmallows on sweet potatoes.. do you do this?[Poll]

SS. It would depend on the recipe. When we make candied yams, yes. This year we are doing a spicy sweet potato, no marshmallows required.

I grew up with them made that way, but I don't make them that way.  My mother still does.

My grandma's always made them with pears, brown sugar, and cinnamon. I've had the marshmallow kind any they're pretty good but I still prefer my grandma's recipe.

I have always had sweet potatoes savory so I've never had marshmellows on them...but I would be interested in trying it!  I think it's a regional thing?? (I'm in Canada and I don't think many people here do that whereas in the States it seems like a lot do!)

I'm personally not a fan of marmallowed sweet potatoes.  My stepsister always makes these god awful sweet potatoes with marshmallows.  Looks like regurgitated baby food.  Bleck.  My mom makes brandied sweet potatoes.

Yes, always!

I mash up my potatoes, add some spices and a mashed up banana, and throw mini marshmallows on top. So good.

For Thanksgiving dinner - yes - it is tradition.

The rest of the year - no - and we eat sweet potatoes a couple of times per month.
