First Christmas Card as Newlywed

I see all of these cute photo Christmas cards and I was wondering if it would be lame to send out a Christmas card to everyone with one of our wedding photos on it. I thought it would be a good way to share a photo with all the fam and friends who didn't get to see any of our photos plus have another excuse to use our cute (and expenseive) wedding photos Smile

Re: First Christmas Card as Newlywed

  • I don't think it is lame. I actually did that 3 years ago!
  • I think it's a great idea! You could sign it, "From the new Mr. & Mrs." or it could say, "Our first Christmas as Mr. & Mrs." or something along those lines.

  • We're using our engagement pics bc our parents are both sending out wedding pictures in their cards--but no I don't think its lame at all!

  • Please do not make the wedding-picture Christmas card double as your thank you, though.  (Not saying you intended to.)

My sister and her XH did this. I was mortified.

It was just a wedding picture of them with "Thank you!  Happy Holidays" pre-printed on it.  (They got married in June.)

Yes! Yours is so cute! I love beagles :)

  • Not lame at all! I plan on doing the same thing this year as well!
  • We're doing it, too!  Found some fun designs at Walgreens.com.  In my opionion, you should use a photo that shows your faces... since that's probably the key to the Christmas card.

  • I sent them out last yr.  I got a bunch of free ones from shutterfly when I signed up there.  So thats what really gave me the idea to sent out xmas cards.  (and since I had everyone's addresses from the invites!) then I also went to Target and got some of the general cards you can put a picture in.  We went to Germany for our 1 yr so I am going to sent out cards again with a picture from our trip.  Though nothing has really changed in our lives so our cards will just say happy holidays love Bryan and Andrea.  Nothing big.  (I also bought the Target cards on sale last yr) hopefully next xmas well have a baby to show off!
