Re: Preggo Nesties Check In

  • I'm doing ok....I thought I was out of the clear from nausea until I woke up today. It has been sitting there ALL day. Not fun!

I woke DH up after I took my test and said "I took a pregnancy test".
    He said "yeah, and?"
I said "it says I'm pregnant."

HAHA not very romantic but I just couldn't keep it in long enough because I had to go to work! BLAH!

I called my Mom and told her along with my Dad. For my IL's, we saw them 2 weeks after my BFP so we waited to tell them in person. (I wish I got to tell my Mom at least in person) Anyways, I had 2 onesies. 1 said "what happens at Grandma's stays at Grandma's" and the other said "I heart Grandpa." We told them we had a gift for them and they needed to close their eyes. We put the onesies in front of the respectful person and the picture of me and DH hoping my PG test and I wrote "We are Pregnant" on the picture. They were shocked and super happy!

Yes, we are DEF. finding out the sex and that will be right around the week of Christmas! I can't WAIT!

  • Hi!!  I go back and forth between great and miserable throughout the day.  I'm soooooo over being pregnant and ready to go!  I randomly have contractions, but nothing major and I haven't made that much progress at the Dr's appts, so as much as I'm ready, he's definitely not!

I think I called DH and said "I'm pregnant again, we'll see what happens" (we had a loss the previous month), after we heard the heartbeat for the first time we called our parents and siblings, then after the 12 week ultrasound we told everyone else (called, FB, etc.).

We did find out the sex- the tech guessed at the 12 week NT scan was 80% sure it was a boy, but we were too eager to wait until the 20 week scan so we did an elective scan at 16 weeks and confirmed it's a boy!

  • I guess I'm doing alright.  Some days are better than others, although no morning is a good morning.  I haven't thrown up yet *thank goodness* but I wake up feeling sick, and it usually lasts until midday, comes back in the evening.  SUCKS.

I hate food, but can't stop eating.

Vegetables suck.  For those of you that know me...this is mentally mindblowing and completely uncharacteristic of me!

Oh and I've developed some weird skin allergy.  I'm covered in itchy hives.  Gross. I just got some steroid cream from the doc today, so I'm hoping this clears up.

No major milestones yet.  Our first appointment is next Thursday.  I'll be just over 8 weeks, so hopefully there is awesomeness to see on the u/s.  My fingers are cautiously crossed tightly.

I told DH right after I took the test.  I snuck away to take it, and walked into his office afterwards saying "DH, I'm pregnant!"  Followed by lots of "Really?  Seriously?  For REAL?"

We just told family and friends as we saw them.  We're not good with secrets, and everyone would know in the case of a miscarriage anyway.  That being said, there are still plenty more people who we will let it slip to over the next few months.  I'm trying to hold out on announcing it on my blog for awhile longer.  It's killing me.

We are hoping to find out the sex!  I can't wait!

  • I'm almost ready to be done.....  he's getting so big and I'm starting to get kinda uncomfortable nowadays.  Now that Christmas music is playing (DH couldn't wait and he's due Dec 16th so we knew when we heard the tunes he'd be coming soon) and now that we've been in crazy shopping mode to get everything together it seems so real and we are so ready.

DH and I wanted to start having kids soon after we were married so a month after the honeymoon I started peeing on sticks and one finally said we were pregnant, he didn't believe it and made me take the test again a few hours later.  We pretty much called everyone to tell them we were pregnant and he did an official FB post after we were past 12 weeks.

We couldn't wait to find out the sex, so we were counting down the days til the 20 week scan. So glad we did, we haven't shared the baby's name with anybody (we didn't want to hear any one else's opinions or weigh ins on what we should name the baby) so it's been fun for DH and I to talk and call him by name, and will be a nice surprise when everyone else meets him or hears of his birth next month.

Wishing the best for all the other pregnant ladies out there! and the new mommies to be!
