Diva Q

I got my Diva Cup today... I'm leaving in a few hours for a girls' weekend to Chicago (3hr drive) and a race tomorrow (9.3 miles). AF conveniently showed up yesterday. Would it be worth cleaning and trying to use the Diva for the first time now, or is it something I'm going to want to use at home the first time or two?

Re: Diva Q

  • As long as you've got a bathroom with a full door that closes, you should be able to use it all weekend.  I'd probably opt out during the race, just in case you don't put it in quite right.
  • I would try it out now.  If you're feeling kinda iffy about it, just wear a pantyliner with it at first.  Depending on how it goes today, make the decision about the race.  I feel way more comfortable with my cup than a tampon, but PP is right - you don't want to run a race being uncomfortable.

  • Thanks! I'll wash it up and see how it goes.

  • If you can feel the stem, cut it off.

That's my best first day diva advice. Wink

Ditto.  Use a knife to cut the stem off, not scissors.  Scissors create an uneven edge when they compress the silicon, which bugged the heck out of me.
