DH volunteered us for
hosting Thanksgiving! Ahh!! We were tossing around the idea last night, and apparently he told MIL that we would host. She said she'd still make the turkey though so that's cool.
Now I have to make sure I have enough plates, glasses, silverware and get table cloths. Oh, and figure out what we're going to make!

I hope your DH cooks and can help you with that. Or that he will take care of lots of other things. At least you don't have to make the turkey. How many people?
This is the first year my family ISN'T hosting Thanksgiving since no one is here. :P
At least your MIL is bringing the turkey...holy wow though. Good luck with preps!
You can do it! We're hosting, also. I think H is making the turkey. Good luck!!
Oh yes, he is the cook in the house. He makes dinner 80% of the time. We did Thanksgiving once before so I think it'll be ok. Although that time it was with slightly less people. This year I think it will be 12 max, so still not too bad.
So far my menu includes: sweet potato casserole, homemade stuffing, green bean casserole, cranberries, dinner rolls. Maybe another vegetable?

That's so exciting!! I wish our house were set up for hosting. It just doesn't have enough living space, plus we have a bar-height table that only seats four. We had our good friends up from North Carolina for Thanksgiving when we were in B-more last year and it was so much fun cooking for everyone.
