AW: Just need a minute to be excited
Okay there is really no point to this post other than me to be excited and tell you all about it.
So I know you all have heard me whine about things stinking for us the past little while (2 whole years). Well it seems like the past month things have just amazingly turned around. Last week Ben found out that he would be getting his long overdue promotion and they would be bumping him up 3 ranks, and giving him a raise. We did not expect much but then this week they told him it was 20% more but still with a paycut, which pretty much puts us at his normal pay. However they think they will go back to full pay in the first quarter of next year. Then they gave them a bonus today at the annual retreat and it was so much more than we expected. Like 10% of his salary now.
I mean we have been living with this being poor mentality for so long, I am just in shock that we do not have to worry as much about money. I just hope this is a sign of other good things to come soon (well 9 months from soon). Ladies thanks for listening to me whine for the past few years (and reading this if you made it though).
