Sofa Cusions

Last year H and I got rid of a sofa that was in bad shape.  We kept the sofa cushions b/c H likes to lay on them in the living room floor.  But we just bought a new sofa last week and we need to get rid of the cushions to make room. 

Any ideas for how to recycle or repurpose?  I called our local humane society and a couple of shelters and they won't take them b/c they're not washable.

The only thing I can think of is to give them to the Goodwill. Maybe someone will buy them and try to reuse them.

Yeah, that was my initial thought too, but Goodwill won't take sofas in pieces.  They only want the whole thing.

Hmm that's strange our rescue loves sofa cushions.  I'd try a small rescue they are typically less picky than a big humane society that goes through a lot of dogs.

Maybe a primary teacher would want them for a "reading corner" or something in his/her classroom.

Oooh, that's a good one.  Maybe I'll try that.

I tried with a few smaller shelters around here, too, and so far no luck.
