Is this really that difficult?
I've heard a few people ask now about how to clean rain gutters before winter, including who they should hire to do it.
I had no idea people hired out for this, unless you have some monstrosity of a house that is so tall an extension ladder won't reach, or you are physically unable to get up there and do it.
One guy asked my dad once if he should use a special rake. Really? Is this that difficult? A ladder, some gloves, and a garden hose is all I've ever needed.
Re: Is this really that difficult?
hah! My husband is doing it right now for the last time (hopefully) this season. :-)
The owners before, the ex-boyfriend was canadian and hard up for cash, so he asked neighbors to hire him to clean their gutters....meanwhile the house (ours) he lived in had trees practically growing in them! lol DH is southern and was VERY nervous that first time since in the South you have no idea what may be growing or living in that mess.
