Anyone interested in having a holiday GTG??
Maybe a cookie exchange? or a holiday ornament exchange?
What dates work for people?
I could do the 11th, 12th or 19th if we do a weekend or maybe a weeknight is easier (I know weekends in December are always crazy busy)

I like the ornament idea because it involves less work.
The 11th & 12th are out for me because of my Biochem exam on Monday.
Sounds fun! Either day works for me.
I'm in... if it's before I leave town. I will not be here after the 17th.
Yum cookies!
Oh dude y'all, I'm stupid! I was thinking you meant this month instead of December!
The 11th/12th works for me, but the 19th does not.
My amateur photo blog
so it sounds like the 12th works for everyone??? we can have it at my house in North Portland or if someone else wants to host it that's fine too.
now......
cookie exchange or ornament exchange??
keep in mind if we do cookies, each person has to make at least 2 dozen but maybe more depending on how many people are coming.
I don't recall ever participating in a cookie exchange but I think it could be fun. Just curious- how are the cookies packaged for an exchange?
We love ornaments so an exchange would be cool too.
I vote for ornament exchange. I love ornaments! How do those work?
And I'd love to see your new house!

For an ornament exchange, I figure we could set a limit of $10 or something for an ornament purchased or if you are crafty and want to make one that would be cool. Just wrap the ornament and well do it sort of "white elephant" style where we can just draw numbers and pick out the wrapped oranment we want. We can also play by the trade rules of white elephant if we want as well. Or we can leave the ornaments unwrapped. I'm thinking of getting a small tree we could just hang them on until we pick them.
For a cookie exchange, I figure it would be best to bake 2-3 dozen cookies assuming we have at least 6 people or more. we can arrange them on trays/plates here and then everyone gets to take a few from each arrangement so you end up going home with 2-3 dozen of a variety of cookies. people would bring containers to take their cookies home in.
We can also do a combination of both if people really want to. not everyone would have to do both if they don't want. I should start a poll....when I figure out how to do that!
I love that just a few months ago we were teaching MrsJRD to put a pic in her siggy and now she's moving on to wanting to do a clicky poll.
I can prob make (or buy) a better ornament than cookies but I'm down for whatever everyone else wants to do.
and I still don't trust myself enough to change my siggy pic. I might end up with nothing but nonsense in my siggy.
LOL! I can help make sure you get the right thing in your sig pic. : )
I'm honestly not sure which I'd prefer, so I'll go along with whatever everyone else wants. Cookies will be hard for me because I'll jump from finals to GTG to packing up and leaving town. But I'm not sure when I'll have a chance to go ornament shopping, either. :-P
