I'm freezing. Our furnace has been out since who knows when. We tried to turn it on on Saturday for the first time and it does nothing but blows cold air.
I'm off school today and tomorrow, so I'm sitting here waiting for the HVAC guy.
It is cold in here though!
Re: brr!
I like to wait as long as possible to turn the heat on too - but you have me beat by about a month!
I waited a few years ago and the same thing happened, no heat! It was a new furnace and I was stressed - but it was just the thermostat that went out! Hope you have an equally quick, easy and cheap fix
Yeah, we're really cheap. It was our limit switch (which I tried to re-set myself and it didn't work) and our ignitor. so it was about 300. Which in the grand scheme of things wasn't so bad.
I'm super cheap and hate running the furnace. We almost made it until November 1st before turning it on. Then when we turned it on, it made a horrible noise. Turns out our motor was almost dead. Thank goodness for friends in the HVAC trade. He replaced our motor for $200!
