how was everyone's weekend? did you do anything exciting??
Re: Weekend Recap
Nothin to excited here, I worked on Staurday for some overtime and then went to see my parents while CJ was still working... (he is on callf ro two weeks straight =( ) Then sunday we just did things around the house and some shopping... and relaxed...
One excited thing I guess would be is we talked about TTC and when to start all that fun stuff.
How about you?
Good morning!
My weekend was okay... nothing too exciting. Friday night, we went with some friends to the 1st Friday thing. We got there late, due to traffic, and dinner taking a little longer than expected. It was okay. Not at all what I expected, I guess. Next time, I think I might just skip the art walk part, and stick to the museum. Maybe it was because we got there later than we wanted, but I wasn't super impressed.
My iPhone died on me Friday night. It locked up, saying I needed to sync it with iTunes. But it wouldn't reset when I did that. Kept giving me errors. So I took it to the Apple store Saturday, they tried to fix it, and couldn't. So I got a new phone. Yay for warranties!
Other than that, we didn't do too much. I had a horrible headache most of yesterday, so all plans went to the wayside. We watched a couple movies, and that was about it.
i was suffering from some horrible cramps on friday and called in sick at work blah!!! satur we had a fun photo sesh in paradise valley then went to ikea and did some home repairs. sunday was football, b-ball and football day while alex watched all the games i slept lol.
I felt like crap all weekend. I have this weird skin reaction to being pregnant, so I'm covered in itchy welts. It got worse on Saturday so I was pretty miserable, especially since DH was working all day. We did get Chilis To-Go, which was nice
Sunday morning my grandpa passed away, so we spent the day with my Mum. It was rough, but we had a nice family dinner. Now, I'm desperately searching for flights for my Mum and cousin to get back to Maryland for the memorial service. I wasn't very close to gp, but my cousin who goes to school in Lousiana was, and she doesn't have any money. So I'm trying to pay for her to get home... There really should be special rates for bereavment...
This was a good weekend. Friday I didnt do anything, just work. Hubs worked so I was home alone.
Saturday was the Breast Cancer walk at Tempe Town Lake and my parents, Aunt and my Hubs all walked it. Then we all went out for lunch. Come home and took a nap and got ready for the hockey game. We had dinner at IHOP, love the pancakes and been wanting some forever.
Yesterday, my moms and I went shopping. I had to buy winter clothes for our trip. It's kinds weird shopping for a coat when I really dont need one here. Then we had to get all the travel sized shampoo's and all that. Then I did the usual, laundry and clean.
Now, it's work all week and then I am off to DC! Cant wait.

I am so sorry to hear about your grandpa, I hope that you can find so good flights for your family. I know it stinks that there are nto better rate. I think there used to be bereavment rate but you had to show some sort of proof but I am not sure if that still exists or not. I just remember my mom doing it when my grandpa passed away, I will keep your family in my t&p.
There is with most airlines still... but you have to call and actually talk to someone. My mom got a pretty good chunk off her flight home when she needed to get to my aunts funeral a year or so ago. The only stipulation is that it has to be immediate family for most, so your mom should be able to get it for sure, but it might be a bit iffy for your cousin.
It's sometimes called Compassion fares as well.
I got a lot done this weekend! Finalized my invitation designs, had my first dress fitting, picked up some awesome vases for reception centerpieces, finished up picking out all the details for our ceremony and put it all together in a final format, and started working on a finalized song list!
I think all we're down to now is finding what or who we want to use for our flowers, getting the invites out, finalizing menu, and getting his ring and attire sorted. I actually finally feel like we're on track and doing good! So much less stress.
Yesterday I just hung around the house and watched some movies, organized all my files and paperwork into a new file box, and did laundry.
Exciting, I know!
we used Endearing Flowirt from Thee Wedding Warehouse, they were slightly more then I orginally wanted to spend but they were worth ever single penny!
DH had drill this weekend so I just stayed home with the baby. I think she's going through a growth spurt because all she wants to do is eat and she's been super fussy. Plus I have thrush so it hurts like crazy when she nurses. Hubby had a 16 hour day yesterday and he brought home a box of MRE's so that's what we had for dinner..LOL.
BLOG
Thank you. I'm hoping I can get some research done when I get off work.
Thanks Jenn
well friday was great. I was just basking in my BFP glow all day and then after work we went out to cheesecake factory to celebrate.
Saturday, we went and saw my FIL's new house and we witnessed a fight bewtween him and his wife (akward) so after we were done helping them with the forever move (its been a month) His wife barked "thanks for helping move nothing" (we have been storing some of their stuff at our house and brought it back to their new home) very ungrateful
Then that evening went to a friends wedding reception and I had tons of fun even though I remained sober (DH's boss got trashed and he was fun to watch)
Sunday, cleaning and laundry (the usual) then I got super exausted and napped most of the afternoon before I made dinner and we watched Toy Story 3
Delta is pretty good with it... usually around 50% ticket cost. Continental only takes 5-15% off depending on original ticket price.
Delta only asks for the passengers relationship to the person, and the name, address and phone number of the funeral home for verification.
800-221-1212 is the number for Delta sales and service that you would have to call to check on their rates for it.
Sometimes it really isn't worth it... if you check some of the online sites that specialize in last minute fares like hotwire.com, they may be lower anyway. The real advantage with compassion tickets is that they are WAY more flexible, if you're not sure how long you need to be there especially, it gives you a pretty big window of days that you can do the return trip in with no extra fees.
