Every year the "adults/couples" in my family do a gift exchange with a $50 limit per person. Because we are married now, we get to participate. Both lists they gave us are very simple, which is great. I just  have one question... my grandma mentioned that she wanted a cookie jar. Where would you go to find a cookie jar? decorative ones? plain ones? semi-inexpensive ones (as we would like to get her more than one item)?

If there is a place where you can paint pottery around you, you could decorate it yourself and have them fire it.  I think that might take up the whole $50 budget though.

Personally I'd rather have a simple one than a decorative jar however I don't know your grandma's style.

Personalizationmall.com has cookie jars. They are $39.95 plus tax and shipping but You can probably find a coupon code to use and might even be able to get free shipping. I really like these ones because you can personalize it to say "Baked with love by.... Grandma (or whatever other name you might call her) they also have ones you can put pictures on. You could put you and DH or one of you and grandma when you were little or baking together. HTH!
