They couldn't find a fetal tail w/ their ultrasound machine (either externally or internally..) but informed me this was normal w/ how early I am. But they did find the sac- and it's not ectopic, so that's a very good sign.

do you mean " fetal pole " lol, fetal tail -- this is normal, you might be like 6 weeks 1 day,

I also had to get a rogam shot bc of my blood type

I wonder why they gave you Rhogam now, normally it wasn't until 28 weeks ... maybe just get it out of the way, no harm in it, that's for sure.

Re: jackie

  • Regarding Rhogam - my doctor told me anytime they think there is a chance that baby's blood has mixed with mine, I would need a shot.  They were considering giving me one when I fell a few weeks ago, but everything was fine, so they waited until I was at 28 weeks.  However, I was under the assumption that the shot only lasted for so long, so I wonder if you'll have to have it again.

Also, did they give you a card with the Rhogam info and date you had the shot done?  I guess it can show up in your blood work, so it's good to have proof, otherwise I guess the lab people will question why certain things are showing up in your labs?

  • So, they gave me the rhogam same reason Heather mentioned. I will get it again at 28 wks.

Re: Fetal pole...hahahahaa...I have such a mental block on pole. I don't know why. Fetal tail sounds better. :-p

My OB called me last night to check on me, she says all sounds good, and I'm keeping my appt for 11/18 but just not expecting to see a big change in the ultrasound.
