Asparagus and Raspberry Question
What do I cut back? Do I just cut all the raspberry canes that produced fruit this year?
I've never cut my asparagus. It will be three next spring and I'll start harvesting it then. Do I need to cut it back now that we are going into winter?
Re: Asparagus and Raspberry Question
In terms of the asparagus you want to wait until the foliage dies back and then cut it at ground level. Otherwise I would leave it.
My Blog
It depends on the variety of raspberry you have. Some only bear fruit on the first year canes, some only bear fruit on the second year canes.
Google can help you determine the variety of raspberry you have.
Once you know your variety google rasberry pruning (there's a lot of info and diagrams out there).
