Cleaning Poll
The past year or two, I've been fortunate enough to have a cleaning person come to my house. Due to having to cut out extra expenses, I'm now going to be doing it on my own. I'm not quite sure where to start...

i'm gonna answer how much WE do these things...cuz i do them a lot less often than DH.
How often do you...
Vacuum: usually about once a month...we only have carpet in one room of the house
Clean the floors: we sweep every few weeks, or use the little vacuum to get up the dust in the corners
Clean the bathroom: i think DH does the sink about once a month, a little longer for the toilet, and longer than that for the tub. usually when it starts to look sad.
Kitchen: we don't hardcore clean it but every few months, but i have been trying really hard to get into the habit of putting dishes in the dishwasher the day we use them, and wiping the counters and stove off.
Dust:dusting is usually combined in with one of the other things...our old house creates dust like a mofo, so usually i'll wipe something off with my hand if i see it.

Seriously, he vacuums, dusts, and keeps the living areas generally tidy. Then pisses&moans that I do not do .. well anything really.. on a day-to-day basis.
We deep cleaned the bathroom yesterday including going through the "products" and disposing of expired or unused items. And I hung up the laundry monster off the BR floor that had overtaken my "side". This happens every 2-3mo (usually includes the floors). He vacuums 1-2x a month and dusts at that time. And I appreciate it every time. As do my allergies.
The kitchen is always kept clean. I have a bug phobia.

Vacuum - once a week, but really need to vacuum more often
Clean the floors - they are vacuumed once a week, but mopped only every other week by our cleaning people
Clean the bathroom - every other week
Kitchen - I clean the counters, do dishes, etc. everyday, but the hardcore cleaning happens every other week
Dust - every other week by cleaning people
Disclaimer - I live alone, and have no pets, so my house does not get that dirty.
Vacuum - on average, about once a month, although I need to do it more often. My whole house is carpet except for the kitchen and bathrooms.
Clean the floors - bathrooms, about once a month. The kitchen, about every two weeks.
Clean the bathroom - Once a week
Kitchen - Daily, and I do a deep clean about once a week. I am phobic about the kitchen and baths.
Dust - as needed. I absolutely hate dusting, hate it hate it hate it. I do it as little as possible. Maybe once a month?

We try to do all our cleaning on Thursday nights so that we have the weekends free to play or have spur of the moment company.

Clean the floors - i don't mop - i only vacuum my hardwoods and kitchen tile
. it may happen 2x per year. sad, i know.
Clean the bathroom - deep clean - once every month to month and a half. toilet and countertop wipe down - once every couple of weeks
Kitchen - almost daily. for some reason, i can't stand a dirty kitchen. i hate dishes in the sink, dirty countertops, etc.
Dust - when too much dust builds up. i'm with you hales, our house is dusty like a mofo.
Clean the floors Sweep-every 2 weeks. It only gets mopped when the maid service comes except the kitchen and bathrooms

Vacuum - LR, master BR - a few times/week. Upstairs & downstairs - ~1/month or 2 months, when the CP does it.

Kitchen - dishes, counters as needed - dailyish, CP does the rest
Dust - LR & master BR - a few times/week; rest of the house - when CP does it

Vacuum We have no entryway's in our house and most of it is carpet, so you can see the dirt and stuff that gets tracked in very easily. I/DH vacuums every week/everyother week usually. This includes the BR's becuase I shed like a mofo.
Clean the floors I sweep about every other week. Mopping is probably every 4-8 weeks, depending on how grossed out I get.
Clean the bathroom Usually every week the sinks/mirrors get wiped, toilet and tub get scrubbed.
Kitchen Between DH and I, we manage to keep up with the dishes/dishwasher. I wipe down the counters and stove several times a week, and a deep clean every other week-ish
Dust Ughhhh. I usually do a grand dusting 2-3 times a year. The obvious dust gets it about once a month.

Vacuum- Daily but I have a Roomba. It comes out about an hour before I come home and finishes up 30 minutes later.
Clean the floors- I have concrete floors, I swiffer 1 a month. The roomba really does take care of so much. I also live in a loft so by the time I get to my unit anything on my feet has been left elsewhere.
Clean the bathroom- weekly, but I spray the shower after every shower. It really does help.
Kitchen - daily. I live in an open space a dirty kitchen makes the whole place feel dirty.
Dust- every few weeks. Once again I live in a loft with huge windows, If they are open you can see the dust on my dark furniture. I hate dusting so If I could get away with never dusting I would.How often do you...
Vacuum - With dogs in the house, I try to vacuum the areas they are in most twice per week. The rest of the house gets it once per week.
Clean the floors - I usually mop once per week, but I know it needs it more often.

Kitchen - I feel like I clean daily in the kitchen. Hubby is not very neat when cooking.
Dust - I'm ashamed that I don't do this more often. I guess I do it a couple of times per month.
