Big Changes May Be Coming Soon...

We may be moving to Chico, CA! There's an opportunity to buy a house there and Cody really likes the town and the college there. With my job I can go anywhere and find work so I'm just excited to live somewhere that has all 4 seasons but a shorter winter!  Nothing is set yet but we're talking about moving in February.

So... anyone near Chico??

Re: Big Changes May Be Coming Soon...

  • I don't even know where Chico is, but I just wanted to wish you lots of luck!  That will be a big change!  New city and buying the house with the boy is a lot of big stuff!  And February is right around the corner!  I feel like you just moved to AZ.  I can't keep up with you these days, Jaye!  Wink  Will you have any problems getting out of your current lease?
  • Wow, good luck with everything! I'm curious too, how will you get out of your lease?

  • No problem with the lease!  It ends in February so we're just moving when it's up!
  • Oh, ok then. That's awesome!

  • Chico is a pretty cool town.Great vibe. A lot of my friends went to school there, so it was a 2nd home away from santa barbara for me in college. It's a party college town for sure. Very hot in the summer, but everyone hangs out at the river to cool off. The fall/winter/spring kind of mush together w/ lots of rain, and rare snow. Its more like 2 seasons there, the rainy season & the dry season, but more of a transition between the two than in socal. It's about an hour from Sac, so you can go into town if you need anything or about 3-4 to SF & east bay if you want a big city. The whole area isn't 100% party all the time, but if you need to get crazy you can.

    sounds fun. GL.

  • Alright so if you move again we have to at least meet before you do!  :)  We are probably moving soon too-this time further out and to a land of no barking dogs, airports, train tracks and the smell of cow poop.  We just can't take it anymore.  :)
