OMG. I don't know how much more I can take

B2 is acting horrible. I am pretty sure my MIL fed him sugar all day. I have never seen him act like this in one evening.

He will not listen, he ripped leaves off my peace plant, dug my ipod out of my purse and threw a holy tantrum when I took it away, he threw his entire dinner on the floor to dogs. I couldnt even tell you how many time I had to put him in time for smacking the fish tank. And for the last twenty minutes he has been screaming doggie at the kitchen door. I open the gate, he goes in the kitchen, locks himself in and is now screaming mommy. I go in there asks what he wants and he is pointing the candy dish say de, de, de. which translates to candy. I told him it was all gone and he threw himself on the floor.

All this since 530. I am about to throw his hyped up butt in the crib and call it a night.

  • that was R last Thursday.  It was ridiculous,

    Sorry.

Hopefully he's just adjusting to not being with you every day.  It will get better and it'll only take another day or so.  He'll adjust to the new schedule sooner than you will!

  • I hope so. I really hope this isnt the beginning of the terrible twos. Is it sad that I told myself "just one more night, then I get a night out on my own."

You have no idea how much I am looking forward to Jeds on Thursday. I may have to call Merin and see if you will pick me up so I can have a few drinks. LOL.

  • Oh man!! :-

And I can totally pick you up tomorrow!  :)

  • not sure how old is he....but my oldest daughter totally started terrible twos at 18 months. and it was bad. and didnt end until just a few months ago.

but i agree wiht pp.....its probablly going to take some adjusting time for him to get into the swing of things. its a big adjustment for him...

  • I hate those moments...even when they last for days.  I can't wait for my girls weekend this weekend!

Believe me I have let Alex totally throw his little tantrums and shut the door on him when I can't take it anymore.

  • I don't care...at that point, my kids would have had their asses smacked and put in time out. I don't play those games.

I have since found out that my kids were slightly more difficult to potty train because I instilled inate fear of bathrooms in them.  If they acted up while we were in public...i would take them to the bathrooms for their talking to or butt smacking.

So...my only suggestion would be not to associate their crib or potty with discipline.

  • Yup. That is why he has a time out corner. He still doesnt get it. B would always tell me to put him in his crib and I would say, that is silly he will become affraid of his crib and associate it with being bad.

And giving him a little swat on the but doesnt phase him, so I had to swat on the leg under the diaper to get thru to him. He doenst like it so much. And now I understand when my parents used to say "this hurts me more than it does you" It totally breaks my heart to have to give him a butt swat.
