you are all a bunch of domestic goddesses.

I'm jealous of all the replies in the "whats for dinner" thread. I wish I was more motivated in the kitchen. When I cook its great, I must admit, but I just don't care about cooking.

Some of those dinners just sound amazing!

Re: you are all a bunch of domestic goddesses.

  • Not a lot of what I make is too complicated.  Pete always thinks it's complicated and hence doesn't cook often (just on Taco Night0

I just always look for easy recipes.

  • I bought a package of refrigerated tortellini, boiled it, and opened up a jar of sauce..... I hope that you are not talking about me!  LOL!

  • Haha, Laura! I won't tell. Just put out a checkered table cloth and take the credit - it sounds great no matter where it came from!
  • that's funny because after the mess I made I definitely don't feel like a domestic goddess.  Dinner was tasty and actually really simple.  I don't go for fancy!
  • I'll have to show you the amazing cook books we got for our shower-- too many people were trying to turn me into a domestic kitchen goddess, which I'll just never be.  There are some super easy, quick, delicious dinners in there!
  • you know what's funny...I really only had to learn to cook in the last year.  DH gets out of work much later than me and we usually have things going on in the evening so dinner has to be done when he walks in the door before either of us leave again.  It was sink or swim and I chose to learn to swim.
  • Not me either :)  We actually ended up with bbq nachos and a can of corn. That's what the end of DH's work quarter and having a 3.5 month old can do :)
  • I got home and DH had made a homemade sicilian pizza.  It was delicious - and easy (for me).  LOL!
