I can't kick this cold!
I have been coughing and congested since LAST Monday! A week and a half of being sick- yuck!
It seems like everyone I talk to is sick, too! Any of you ladies?

Oh that sucks. I hope you are feeling better soon! I hate it when I am sick for more than a week. I usually get through my colds by telling myself I will be done after 7 days. When it drags on past that I go nuts.
I am not sick (knocking on wood). Every few days I get paranoid when I blow my nose too much or start coughing out of nowhere. I have been drinking lots of orange juice and trying to generally eat well and get enough sleep. Plus I am washing my hands often. I already had one cold this season that knocked me out for a few days, so I am hoping to avoid another one for a long while!
You ladies are lucky! I feel like everyone I know has this nasty cold!
Today I'm really phlegm-y and disgusting, but I hope that's all the nastiness working itself out of my body so I will be healthy tomorrow!
I was sick last week and a lot of people I know seem to be catching bad colds really early this season too. I got lucky this time around and it only really lasted about 3 days, plus a couple of days in advance of feeling it coming on, know what I mean? Often when I get sick it lasts well over a week--ugh.
I've still got a little residual runny nose and very little bit of cough left, but nothing major. Hope you're better soon!
Do you think it's from swelling?
I've been congested since 8w, it's gotten worse in the past month or so and I do get a gunky cough now and then.
I've been congested since very early in the pregnancy, too, but DH brought home the cold and I have the exact same symptoms as him. I also had a sore throat for a few days too, and that nasty feeling of my nose draining into my throat... Ick! But I'm sure the swelling isn't helping. And my general hugeness and tiredness is making the cold seem even worse than it is.

Any more talk on the delivery date front?
I have another appointment tomorrow, so we'll see if there's any progress. But they've been telling me for the last 2 weeks "He's ready! He could be here any day, so be prepared!" and I'm still here. Car seat in, hospital bag packed, clothes are washed... just add baby.
They keep saying that if he doesn't come on his own, they'll induce me at exactly 41 weeks, which is Thanksgiving Day, and I doubt they'd do it then. But still, it's nice to know that it won't be longer than 2 1/2 weeks at the latest.
How about you? Is LO packing on the pounds yet?

Yesterday s/he was 5 pounds, 9 oz on the ultrasound, so still pretty tiny. I am hoping we pack on some major pounds these last 3 weeks.
Though I have gained plenty. I do not need to gain more!
She says she'll still let me go a week, week and a half past before discussing induction, but that is provided baby is doing okay and my amniotic fluid stays above a level 5 (it's level 7 now).
I thought all my worrying was done when the anatomy scan was complete. Apparently not.
So s/he's not that small! My 37w1d ultrasound had him at 6lb12oz, and those things can be way off, so 5lb9oz at 36w5d doesn't seem that little. My cousin's DD was born last month at 37weeks and was 5lb 11oz and perfectly healthy, just small!
I think the worrying starts the second you get a positive pg test, and it doesn't stop EVER. I still get knots in my stomach before every single appointment because I'm afraid something's going to be wrong. I thought that would go away after my first trimester, or the anatomy scan, but nope. Now I have almost no L&D fears except for asking DH every night "He's going to be healthy, right?"
That is how I feel about it. And you have seen me, right? I asked my doctor. I'm probably a 25th percentile sized person. I am not a big person, there is no 8-10 pounder coming out of me here.
I had a dream we had the baby next week last night. And I didn't want to use the car seat so we were driving it around everywhere with me holding it in the front seat. YIKES!
