Baby Name??? This little game is for everyone, regardless of whether you plan on TTC soon or not. And p.s. even if you don't plan on TTC ever you should still play -- you know you had a name picked out when you were little!
One boy name and one girl name please.
Re: What's your...
Girl = Kyla (I prefer Kayla, but my nephew's name is Caleb and we all decided that could get confusing at holidays. It's bad enough that my BIL is "Rich" and I am "Rach"
Boy = Travis
There are no meanings behind them, I just like them and they sound good with our last name.
Girl = Josephine or Isabelle
Boy = Noah
Josephine was my grandmother's (maternal) middle name and DH loves it - loves the idea of calling her 'Joey' or 'Jo'. Isabelle was my grandmother's (paternal) first name - she went by Izzy for short. And as for Noah, we just both adore the name
Boy: Noah George (george after DH's dad who passed about 10 years ago)
Girl: either Georgina Lilliana (Georgina after his dad lilliana after my mom's middle name just cause) OR Georgina Michelle so that we could use Lilliana for our 2nd daughter (DH and I both have Michelle/Michael as our middle names) We would call her Gia or Gigi.
Ok so if we had a boy first I think we'd go with Lilliana Michelle for our girl that way we can honor his dad and my mom (she's still alive but she's the best and I thought it would be nice) However if we had a girl first that causes all sorts of confusion haha
Boy - Nicholas - He'll be named after the little boy who passed away a few weeks ago
Girl - Maybe Nicole, for the same reason, and I've always like the name Isabella and Joslyn

as of now...
Eli Daniel for a boy
and
Julia Maryanne for a girl
Daniel is my dads first name. Mary is my grandma and anne is both of our moms middle name. First names are just what we like!
We are not ready to share this with family. We know eli is a little different and we dont want them trying to change our names.
Boy: Jacob ( I have always loved this name, but the chances of being able to name my son it are low because DH hates it..plus with the whole twilight phenomena I am going to guess it is only going to get more popular then it already is and we want to stay away from names that are really really popular)
Girl: Briana (Nothing behind it, just like the name)
You know it's funny though because most of the people I know who have had a baby didn't end up naming their kids a name off of their "list."
I think once we are actually having a kid we will do more research, and our last will become a really important factor.
Girl: Isabella Grace--no special reason just like it
Boy: Jamison Scott--I've always liked the combination together but not 100% sold on it
Shmel's Blog
Girl: Karlee, Madison, Emily, Alyssa, possibly Catherine (after DH's grandma). I like Nicole for a middle name.
Boy: Joshua, Lucas, Christopher. Middle names: David (after my dad) or James (DH's middle name)
Boy: Joseph Edward
DH's middle name and his dad's middle name (his dad died over 20 years ago)
Girl: Madalyn Elizabeth
I just love the name Madalyn and DH really like my name as a middle name.
Girl:
Option #1: Mary Nell (after my mother & aunt) we'd call her Nell -also b/c DH name is Nelson
Option #2: Fletcher - it's my maternal grandmother's maiden name not sur eif it would be 1st or middle & I don't know what name we woud use with it.
Boy:
Option #1: Heyward Fletcher (heyward is DH's first name & his Dad's name). We would call him Fletcher.
Option #2: Colin Augustus

Ok - I don't know why thos double posted or why it even posted at all b/c I was still typing. Grrrr!! Now it ready to read.
We haven't talked middle names yet, but...
Girl: Merritt or Kendall - I'd like to incorporate his mom's name somehow, but I'm not sure the Merritt Patricia really work that well together. Both of our mom's have the same middle name - Ann - but I'm not sold on that either.
Boy: Colton is the only name we've come up with so far that we like.
Funny, we were just talking about baby names with my friend this weekend. In the Jewish religion you typically name after someone who has passed away, giving the baby a name with the same first letter as the person you're honoring. So when I think of names it's more in frame of reference of who I'd want to name after.
My mom already has 3 grandkids who've been named after loved ones, so I'll let MIL pick who she wants the baby named after. I'm guessing she'll pick DH's mom Anne (MIL is technically DH's aunt but she raised him). So, I need "A" names. I'm thinking:
Girl - Abigail Rose (Rose is after my grandma Reba - only problem is it's also MIL's name so I don't think it will fly)
Boy - Andrew Hudson. But, while I like Andrew (calling him Drew), DH didn't like that our friend's brother is named that (WTF???). Hudson is after my grandpop Herbert - plus it's the river that's a couple blocks from our house!
If I wasn't constricted to A names - I love Ella for a girl and Noah for a boy.
TTC #1 since 4/10, Dx: MFI IVF planned for April/May
Girl name: Kenna Grace or Kenna Renee (my mom's middle name is Renee)
Boy: Kurt Sullivan
DH and I try and think of "K" names because we both have K names. Lame...I know. LOL I have a feeling these names will change once the time comes.
Girls: Aria Kate, Ariel Grace, Audrey Clare
Boys: Jacob Aaden, Zacary Aaden, Noah Benjamin
Gril: Holly Nicole or Hailey Nicole after my friend Holly who was killed in a car accident my Sr year of colllege. Instead of going to visit her, I went to her funeral.
Boy: Sean--I like Anthony for a middle name and it's DH middle name, he likes Alexander because "it has more oomph"
Girl: Lucy
Boy: Joshua
Our girl's name is Gratia Rae (Gray-Shuh). She's named after my great aunt who I was very close with who passed away when I was a teenager and that name pops up other times in our family tree. Rae is my initials (w/maiden name) so my hubby loves that it has that connection.
Our future boy's name will be Lincoln Frederick. Lincoln bc we like it, it's a solid strong name and who wouldn't want to share a name with such an amazing president? Frederick is after my husbands father who passed away last year.
For either our 2nd girl, or 2nd boy (whatever comes first) we are using my mother's maiden name as a middle name. I have a very strong heritage on my side of the family and it is very important to me to pass it along. I'd use it for our little girl, but my great aunts last name was mother's maiden name and that is just too weird.
Obviously, we like names that have family ties and mean something to us!
Love the name Lucy! Too cute!
good question!!!!
Boy = Ryan (non negotiable!! I've loved this name FOREVER, and it goes so well with our last name - middle name is negotiable, but I like Anthony)
Girl = Samantha Grace (love it, but i'm more flexible about this one)
To be honest, I never really thought about this, but here are my current favorites:
Girl: Hera (I find this one of the most beautiful names ever!)
Boy: Jozef (after my Uncle, he's a priest so he doesn't have kids, and I'd like this Dutch name to stay in the family)

Allison is a beautiful A name ....just sayin
For girls - I like either Lucille or Julia (Lucy and Jules for short), middle name would be Christine, which is my maternal grandmother's middle name.
For boys - I'm not as sure. Jesse for a middle name, which is also a family name, but my first name pick was always Alexander. When I married DH, I inherited a nephew with the same name, so that won't work. I like Max, Oliver, and Benjamin.

This totally made me LOL.
Actually, I agree with you - except my niece is Allison Hope, so that's not an option!
TTC #1 since 4/10, Dx: MFI IVF planned for April/May
For a boy I like Lucas William (Luke for short)...Luke would be after my cousin who only lived a few short days due to my aunts then husband abusing her while she was pregnant. We would have only been about 6 months apart in age and I'd like to think we would have been very close
And William because it is H's and FIL middle name, and was H's Grandpa's middle name,
For a girl, lately I have liked the sound of Mia. Not sure why, just like the ring it has. I would like to find something that goes with Margaret as the middle name, which is after my Grandma who passed away a few years ago, whom of which I was extremely close with. Suggestions for first names that would go with her names as the middle are welcome!
I have a lot more girl names picked out than boy names. My absolute favorite girl name EVER is Ella Catherine (Ella was my great grandma's name and Catherine is my grandma's middle name), but I know someone who named her daughter that and she's the type that would make a big deal out of me "copying" her, so ugh!!
Girls: Madeline, Kennedy, Avery, Carissa, Olivia, Morgan. Middle name will prob be Ann or Christine (my mom's/MIL's middle names)
Boys: Lucas, Evan, Logan, Landon, Oliver. Middle name will prob be Steven (DH's middle name/FIL's first name). I would love to honor my dad...but his name is Kim and he doesn't have a middle name....so it's kinda hard lol.
