Thermometer rec for NFP?

I just bought a $10 thermometer at the store to have it not work (I'm guessing it has a low battery or something).  I'm a bit miffed because I'm really hoping to witness my first thermal shift, and having had thermometer issues for the past couple of days I'm worried I've missed it!  It appears I might be ovulating but not sure since it's my first month post-BCP.

What thermometer would you recommend?

I asked this question on a previous post about a week or so ago.  I took someone's recommendation for a inexpensive Target thermometer.  I bought a 60 second one - not a "rapid" temperature one.  I've also started only using it under my arm.  Happy to report it has proved consistent and reliable unlike the more expensive versions.  Good luck!!

Does it work well under your arm?  I hate taking my temp under my tongue.  Freaks me out.

I don't know if the target one was me or not but mine is great! (target one).  It's pink, and my only con is that it doesn't "light up " in the dark, but luckily it keeps the reading for two "turns on".

So I take it, turn it off. Roll over and snooze (haha don't judge me!!) and then when i get out to the shower I turn it back on and record the number in my BB (Fertility friend has a mobile site). I do mine in my mouth.

Same.  I've never had a problem with it and have used it for 3+ years.

The Target by me carries it.
