Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Coffee pot mold...help!
DH left a filter with coffee in the pot when we moved... it has now been there for several months. eeewwwww! it is a REALLY nice Cuisinart so I dont want to toss it. Any suggestions on how to clean it? TIA!

I would try using vinegar
Clean everything you can externally. Then run a cycle (or two) of white vinegar through and then do two rinse cycles of just plain water.
That should take care of it.

thanks for the suggestions... i went home and worked on it last night and I am pretty sure mold is still hiding out in there.
DH decided to buy me a nice new one tonight to make up for it.... he couldnt stand to watch me pull out all the mold and then actually use it again. Grossed him out lol.
