Thursday Randoms
I got coffee for my boss this morning in hopes of a good day for both of us.
My BFF joined a gym and got a personal trainer. I'm SO proud of her. She had been putting on a lot of weight over the years and doing nothing but complain about it until now. I'm so glad she's finally taking the steps to doing something about it.

Feel better those with colds! And that's awesome you're friend is taking proactive steps, Wop. Usually starting a new routine is the hardest thing!

Has Adrea been around lately? I believe she was supposed to go on a cruise soon and her boat was scheduled to be that one that caught fire out in the ocean and is now being towed to shore with no power. I was wondering what that meant for her trip...

Ha, it's worked out pretty well. Although, it's kind of a bummer now with the time change - it's pretty much dark when I go to work and dark when I get home. Andy's had to take on dog walking responsibilities and that was always one of my favorite things. I could still walk in the dark with a headlamp but it's just not the same.
I don't think she has been on TN lately, and so I only see FB updates (as I am sure you do too.) I think she is supposed to leave in 2 weeks.
I am also guilty of the purchasing and gifting something to my boss to start the day off on a good step.
Great about the friend. It's nice when someone starts doing something to stop the problem instead of just stewing on it and venting - always to you, the loyal friend.
Random Thing 1: I have worked extra long shifts this entire week in order to get out early tomorrow afternoon (I am not supposed to work over 40 hrs.). After the day I had today - running on less-than-enough sleep, I felt like I was stuck on "3 second delay" whenever anyone was talking to me - I will be happy to get out early tomorrow.
Random Thing 2: I actually did some of my first Christmas shopping today - a game for my fianc? that I have known that he has wanted for a long time. It's nothing big, but sometimes it's the "I-paid-attention-when-you-mentioned-wanting-it-in-passing" gifts that make people the happiest.
