Yay for your cruise almost being here!!!!
You're going to have soooo much fun.
Just wondering - have you been getting any grief for going on a cruise right now, with the Carnival situation? I know you're cruising RC. We're cruising Carnival in January and I've gotten a couple nervous inquiries about our plans from some friends, and I can tell our families are both "side eyeing" us when it comes up. LOL. Like Jaye said in my post about it below - lighting doesn't strike twice. I'm guessing that after this every cruise ship on every line is being seriously inspected to make sure this never happens again.
Re: ::Alison P::
Nobody has said anything to me yet...but DH did specifically ask me if I had heard what was going on with the carnival ship... I think he half expected me to freak out.
eh...I'm not really nervous about it at all. I mean how often do you ever hear anything bad like this happening on cruise? beside people getting thrown overboard! LOL (not really funny, but you get the idea).
& like Jaye said, lightning doesn't strike twice. I mean what are the odds of something like that happening again? I have more of a chance running into a hurricane. Now THAT is something I'm a little worried about!
I cannot wait! I'm so ready for another vacation & definitely ready to get out of this cold Massachusetts weather!
Where are you going on yours? Is it a 7 day?

We're doing the Mexican Riviera and it's a 9 day cruise. Originally we were booked on an 8 day MR, but then Carnival canceled that whole line because it stopped in Acapulco, so we got a free upgrade to a 9 day cruise in the MR with some different ports.
I'm actually somewhat concerned about our cruise because now that Carnival ship is dead in the water - literally - and there are so many cruises that ship was suppose to do... so I'm wondering what they're doing with all those people? Ya know? Our cruise is on a completely different ship, but it's the same general route. If anything I'm happy I just paid the cruise off so (hopefully) they can't just bump us or something. I have no idea if they can do that anyways, but who the heck knows.
I hate to say it, but I hate carnival.
The first cruise DH & I went on was a 5 day carnival cruise out of Tampa. Just so happens hurricane wilma came along & cut our cruise short to a 4 day-obviously that's not the fault of carnival. Carnival gave us the option to still take the cruise, but get a $200 pp onboard credit & we would still get to go to 1 of our ports that was on our original itinerary. Ok, so we went, but the $200pp credit basically went toward our costs for staying in Tampa an extra night.
We get there & check in, the cruise was delayed hours & we were stuck in this room waiting to board. Then they tell us that we are no longer going to any of the original ports & are going to some no name town in Mexico instead. This mexico port sucked! there were 10 of us on this cruise together & literally every single one of us wanted to get back on the ship & just hang out there for the entire day! it was that bad.
Welp, we stuck it out & ended up getting completely wasted on the beach ordering buckets & buckets of coronas! Needless to say we made the best of it! but it just was kinda disappointing b/c we booked the cruise mainly b/c of the ports it was going to. My cousin, who was with us on this cruise, booked the same exact itinerary with carnival 2x after this and STILL has yet to go to the ports!! so 3x in a row he booked the same cruise & every single time carnival has not taken them to the right place!
When DH & I decided to give cruising another shot, we said no way to Carnival!
Hopefully everything works out for you! (& I'm sure it will!) Where are you leaving out of?
I mean, you still have a couple months, so maybe Carnival will straighten out their mess of a situation. I heard on the news this morning that they were giving people credits for the cruise that was supposed to depart directly after this one.
