I really want to get a great vaccum and it looks like dyson may be the way to go. There are some great deals on them coming up on black friday. Does anyone have the DC14 or DC17 all floors? Or which do you love? Thanks ladies!

Re: Rec. your dyson
I'm not sure which we have but it's the Dyson for animal's - it has a purple canister and i LOVE IT.
I have a cocker spaniel and her hair doesn't get stuck. We have hardwod floors, carpet, area rugs and lynolium and never had a problem.
My only problem is that I'm forever having to clean up her hair so I'm always emptying the canister and I still see the hair tumbleweed making it's way down the hallway.
I just got the Dyson DC 25 Animal and absolutely love it. We have a kitty and it is amazing how much of her hair gets picked up in the rugs. You won't be disappointed.
I got the pet dyson vacuum cleaner like others! LOVE it! We got it over labor day weekend when it was on sale. Let me tell you, home depot is the way to go! We tried Best buy, kohl's, target, etc...they all were discounted merely like 50 bucks to 100 bucks. This vacuum costs $599.00. At home depot we got it right under 350 dollars, brand new! It was just at the right time. Home Depot's website currently shows the price tag of $438.00 (internet special). But I bet you that the price will drop over a sale weekend, like Black Friday.
I never thought to check out Home Depot until we stumbled upon it!
I was blessed (hahaha) with the Dyson Animal (original, not the one with the ball) in 2006 and it still works like a charm!! With multiple attachments and just like new suction, it is worth the investment. I have two dogs and one cat.. so I looking for a pet-hair solution when choosing a vacuum. The entire bottom floor of my home is hard surface and the bare floor setting on the Dyson works great even though it is a full size vacuum. I could go on for days about the awesome-ness of my vacuum...
I got mine at Bed, Bath & Beyond and was able to use a 20% coupon. While the coupon did say that it could not be used with Dyson products, the cashier said that it could still be used (you may want to ask your local bbb).
This happened to me last night!! DH and I went to BB&B to buy a Dyson with some of our wedding giftcards and I brought along three 20% off coupons to use on other stuff we were also buying at the same time- we didn't even realize until we got in the car and looked at our receipt that she used one of the coupons on the Dyson- we saved $100!! I was incredibly stoked. If I'd known we'd save a hundred bucks, we would have bought the Animal ball instead (just bc I like purple better than orange, hahaha).
But, yes, I am now obsessed with my Dyson. I've wanted one for years, and now I finally have one. DH is totally on board with it now too- he was grumbling about spending so much $ on a vacuum cleaner, until we unpacked it and I used it last night. We were both shocked at how much crap it picked up from our carpets. I love it.
Breastfeeding and pregnant!
I have laminate, carpet and linoleum and I use my Dyson on all of them. I absolutely adore it. I have the purple animal version. I reaaalllllllyyyyy want the handheld version.
Just remember to clean it every few months according to the owner's manual. It keeps the suction going strong.
