Being shampoo-less is awesome.

Sunday will be one week of me not using shampoo. I have only done one baking soda wash, which was this morning. My hair has not been super oily at all. I was expecting it to go on strike and be nasty, but it hasn't.

It's a little flatter than usual, but I'm sure that's due to me putting it in a ponytail right after showering. DH thought I was crazy at first, but said today after I straightened it that it looks great!

I'm taking much shorter showers now, so saving water as well as shampoo and conditioner.

Re: Being shampoo-less is awesome.

  • Are you using baking soda alone? I considered looking for a recipe for shampoo before but I'm lame and bought more at the store since I was two washes away from being out.

  • Yep, just mix up a little baking soda with water, massage in, and rinse. I need to get some apple cider vinegar for my ends.
  • hmm that is really interesting I may have to try this as well!

  • So nothing on the days you don't baking soda? I currently wash every other day, but I condition my ends in between. I can also tell that my roots are greasy when I don't wash. Ugh, I probably just need to go longer and get over the hurdle.
