Agreed. This whole thing's turned into a sh!tstorm for no reason. I don't get it. Why now? Because he's up for the Heisman and Auburn is kicking @ss and taking names?
Doesn't matter if Newton is the one making the decisions or not. The fact of the matter is someone affiliated with him IS and allegedly made some money off him and that's against the rules.
It would be one thing if his dad said, "Yeah, they approached me about going to MissSt and I said no." The fact that $$$ was being exchanged is what makes it an isue.
I get that, I think we all get that and we all know that you know how the NCAA works as far as compliance goes. My point was that Cam isn't making these choices, at least I don't think so. And it's a shame that he is paying (potentially) for what his money grubbing father is allegedly doing or allegedly did. It's sad even.
Something just DOESN'T feel right. And yeah, it's sad if the decisions of others affect what happens to Cam. I'm just not fully convinced he's on the straight and narrow either. It just don't feel right about it. Something is off.

No way would Cam have played yesterday if there was any question of his eligibly, especially with the insane amount of national attention this story has gained. The NCAA has been investigating this for months and they've never once recommended that Auburn sit Cam.
His father has said that was a conversation where money was mentioned...he didn't say he asked for it or solicited money...State easily could have offered (or a booster). Just makes no sense that they'd solicit money from State and not UT, OU or AU.
