I am so glad tomorrow is Friday. If you asked me on Monday, I would have said I would not make it through this week. We thought our school district might go on strike, but we voted it down (for now, we'll see what happens in the future). I got observed one day this week. And I seemed to have a ton of meetings during and after school. All week, DH has been wonderful about trying to help me relax, helping out more with the dishes, and he has started making our coffee. It really is the small things that are so nice!
So now I am focused on the weekend. Anyone doing anything fun?
We may go to my parents to help clean out their basement of stuff I have been storing there for years (not really looking forward to this). And we have a bunch of different offers to do fun things. We have not committed, but I am sure we will do something fun in between the work.
Re: what a long week!
Awww glad your week is over (mine is basically starting, I've pretty much been off the last three days, minus covering one story for the paper today.
But Friday-Sunday will be non-stop busy with both jobs every day and random stuff I have to do at night.
I was looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend...it's been a crazy week!! But I found out this morning, DH has to work on Saturday. He works in agriculture, so weekends can be hit or miss. At least he is getting overtime for it! (Which will make up for the day he is taking off later this month. He got an interview for a new job, which is exactly what he wants to do. But he is out of pd. vacation time, because he used it all for the honeymoon...he's taking it off unpaid.)
Guess I'm hanging out at home by my lonesome!
This weekend is our last weekend off together for a long time. I'm back to work Mon the 22nd, and DH works the 19th-21st. My schedule for the first 4 weeks back has no weekends off
But I shouldn't complain as I'm very thankful for the year I've spent at home. I'm hoping for Christmas weekend off, but usually if you don't work the 24th, you work the 26th. (Christmas is the only day we're closed), I don't know which I prefer. Things like this were different when I didn't have a daughter, now I'm sad about missing "moments".
Regardless, happy weekend!

I love you, Daddy...2/24/1953 to 2/13/2011
This week has felt super long for some reason. Yesterday felt like Friday to me - sadly it was not.
I'm excited because we have NOTHING to do all weekend! MIL is out of town so we also get the place to ourselves. The only thing we need to do (besides the normal errands of grocery shopping, etc.) is to pick up our proof album!! It got sent to our old address by accident so instead of it being sent back to our photographers in Ohio only to turn around and send it to the correct address, we're just going to go pick it up. Exciting!!!
