It's EASY to be green!!
I'm on my way gals!! I stocked up on vinegar and Dr. Bronner's baby mild soap at Target tonight! I also got 2 spray bottles so I can mix up some cleaning concoctions! :-) (I couldn't find glass bottles so mine are plastic.)
Cheers to getting nasty chemicals out of my house!

Re: Kermit had it wrong!
Yay, Kiz!
I know you initially started because of your dogs but those chemicals can mess with your thyroid, too.
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
Blech!!! Yet another reason to be green and clean! :-)
I actually upped my Armour and am feeling spunkier. And my vitamin D was waaaaaay low. Yay all around to things being better and brighter! :-)
Oh yes, of course! I actually already had a big box so I'm all set!! Yippee!!
A questions for everyone: When I see recipes for cleaners with lemon in them do people put bottled lemon juice in there? Squeeze a fresh one?
Thanks!
I don't think it matters, as long as it's real lemon juice. I could be wrong, but I think the "lemon juice" that comes in those plastic squeeze bottles might be made of fake chemicals. I bought a big glass bottle of lemon juice from the grocery store that I use for cooking and cleaning.
Lemon rinds are good for freshening your garbage disposal.
Hah, awesome. :-)
How about this?
I use a lot of lemons so I am constantly putting the rinds down the garbage disposal. I use ice cubes along with the rinds to help clean it and have it smelling nice!
We have a package of these but I'm guessing they aren't very green! I'll switch to lemons when we're out of these.
YAY!!!
LOL... so its basically... lemon scent in a little packet for the disposal?? I find this a very funny product.
I've always just put the citrus rinds in the disposal. It comes free with your fruit!
Yep they are little balls that explode when you turn the disposal on. They are VERY strong smelling. We actually have the citrus ones that are orange. I'm 99% positive no natural product can create a smell that strong.
I love the smell of fresh lemons. Yum.
