Spin Class

I went to my first spin class ever last night!! I was nervous and excited - more on the nervous side. I was still a little sore from the circuit training I had done on Tuesday but I was excited to give it a shot. Might as well try it out since it's free with my gym membership.

Anyway, I got there early so the instructor could set me up on the bike correctly. He was super nice and the few people that were already in the room were nice as well.

I actually really liked it!!! It was a great workout, I sweated (is that even a word?!?!) like crazy. It will take a few times to get the hang of the resistance and what works for me. But overall, really fun.

The only sucky part - I'm super sore. Like not muscle sore, like bone sore. In the areas that were on the seat....if you catch my drift. So, if I decide to keep up with spin for a while (which I think I probably will), I will definitely be investing in some padded bike shorts.

Re: Spin Class

  • im glad you enjoyed it! sorry about the soreness lol. im sure just more time in the same position and some padded shorts would be very helpful in that area. thats always my problem with biking...but for real on-the-road biking i got this big cushy seat for my bike (i call it the big a$$ seat -- to meanings lol) and it works great :)

  • Good for you!! Glad you found a class you enjoy. DH and I are checking out gyms in our new town. I'm debating if I will get a membership. I always fail to use it :( I don't want to waste money. Kudos to you, though!!
  • Love spinning classes, they are a great work out.  And it's awesome you got there early so the instructor was able to help you with your bike.  It will definitely take your butt bones a while to get used to the seats in class... but it's worth it for a good workout!
