What are you getting your hubby for xmas?

Hoping someone has a great (inexpensive) idea I can steal!   It's been a rough year!

  • I always joke that DH is getting a son for Christmas since I have to deliver early (complications). Ummm...I'm deciding between a video camera or a digital camera - I'm going to purchase them on Cyber Monday since I'm in the hospital until Dec. I also want to get him a Straw Mesh Trucker hat b/c he loved his old one that started falling apart. As for stocking stuffers, we usuallly get each other candy and I put tools in his. You can try Gifts.com and shop by personality and find gifts for less

  • I'm getting him odds and ends stuff. His birthday is also on December 17! I'm getting him Bass Pro Shop GC so he can get a safe, a shirt, some survival books and I think that's it. I'll probably give him one of the smaller things for his birthday too because we always throw a huge party for it.

  • We moved to Charlotte, NC from IA a couple of years ago and this year for Christmas I want to get his BFF from IA to fly out here. I think it would be so cool if he just rang the doorbell and H had no idea he was coming! However I can't nail down a date with his friend and it might be too expensive. if you are looking for something inexpensive do something crafty like make a coupon book with things and or favors your DH would like. for example:

     sexy things of course

    favorite meal

    massages

    no nagging

day w/o kids if you have them

    un interrupted football

free pass on house hold chores

  • I got him a bunch of DVDs, a book about wineries in California, a messenger bag, and some underwear.
  • My husband is a musician so I'm getting him a gc to a music store online. I'm also having his mom and my mom do the same so that he can pick something he wants. Two years ago I bought him a Nikon D90...yeah, that's not an inexpensive gift, but it's something he's been wanting. We usually don't buy gifts for each other because we just get what we want when we want, but since we're at my family's for Christmas, my dad likes to see us open up gifts from each other.

Did you ask him if there was anything in particular that he wanted? Maybe a movie with some popcorn and a bowl and his fav. candy....I did that one year which went over well. That was about 7 years ago and we still use the bowl for our popcorn.

  • A fire pit, call of duty video game, and a body massaging mat.
  • I try to remember the things DH wants, so when he mentions something I write it down on a document on my computer.

My husband likes movies a lot, and many of the ones he has mentioned getting are older ones that you can get cheap, so things like that are what I'm going to do.

  • My husband likes movies as well so I'm getting him some of his favorite ones. He's also a hunter so some new hunting clothes of course and odd and ends things that I know he wants :)
