Gift ideas for my husbands aunt/ godmother??

I cant think of anything to get for my Husbands Aunt this year. We usually try to get her a little something every year. She lives close by and helps out with the kids when we need a baby sitter. She is single in her mid 60's, she owns a hair salon, but she wouldn't get a massage or spa gift, she isnt into them.  Last year i got her a scarf.  Any ideas?? I would like to keep it around $50.00

Re: Gift ideas for my husbands aunt/ godmother??

  • Maybe just a nice gift basket with an assortment of cheese, crackers, and the like. Or a fruit basket is always nice too, for that someone that you don't know what to get.

Another thing is to maybe buy her a ticket to a musical, or play. Or they have gift bundles of movie tickets and popcorn.

Or, you can make her a photo album of  your kids. Walmart has some neat things that you can do with photos and so does shutterlfy.

  • Maybe a themed gift? I usually go for something like "relax" and put in a bottle of wine, a thing of bubble bath, and a thing of lotion, slippers, chocolate, and a chic flick DVD.
  • Harry and David have really awesome gift baskets with food. They are very tasty. Oprah mag has a deal on the "Great Expectations Double Discovery Gift" box for $48 when you use the code OPRAH

    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • Something like a peace lily for Jacksonandperkins.com is nice. Since its a live plant she can keep it at home or the salon and they're pretty easy to maintain.
