Still retrieve photos from old cell?

So I found my old phone (an lg chocolate slide) and there are photos on it from the night my husband and I met. I would love to have these framed but how do I get them? They are not on a memory card and I no longer have this phone in service, otherwise I would just forward/email them to myself.

If I find a USB cable can I transfer them to my computer even though the phone is inactive? Maybe do you have a suggestion?

Re: Still retrieve photos from old cell?

  • If you are able to connect the phone to the computer then you can possibly and should be able to transfer your photos. Whether it is an active phone or not it doesn't matter. As long as the phone is capable of transferring photos through a USB cord it should work.

    Good luck!

  • If your computer has bluetooth, you could also use that to send the photos to the computer without the phone being in service and without the USB cord. On the phones I've had that used bluetooth, I would go in to view the photo, then there was a "send using" option where I would select text, email, or bluetooth. It took a little googling the first time to get my computer set up to accept the bluetooth photos, but it made it super easy to get them off the phone.

  • You might also be able to copy them from the phone memory to a removable memory card if nothing else works.
