...one of our funny family conversations (me, Matt, & Henry). Tonight the three of us had dinner in the hospital cafeteria. No one else, so it was good one-on-one time with Henry.
Matt was talking about the heritage of his family. He said that his biological father was a Carpenter, so he was English.
I heard "a carpenter" and said, "When you said Carpenter, I thought you meant a carpenter, like Jesus was a carpenter." (Don't ask me why THAT popped into my head!)
Matt says "Well actually, he was a barber." (Speaking of his biological father)
And Henry busts out with "That's right! Jesus was a barber and he shaved everyone's beards for free!"
We all cracked up because that conversation turned in a completely unexpected direction. And Henry was so darn cute when he said it!
Just thought I'd share. Hope it put a smile on someone's face.
Re: Have to share...
You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
Ok so I read this story to Bernie and it went over his head. So this is how our conversation went.
I read the story. I am laughing as I read it and Bernie says "Oh boy" Making me think he got it but then he says to me in a very serious tone "Jesus wasn't really a barber was he...?"
I say trying not to giggle" Honey Jesus was a carpenter."
I am laughing so hard tears are rolling down my face! Love him I really do!
Oh Pam! I was laughing so hard when I read this! Matt got a good laugh too. I heart Bernie!
Glad I could share my laughing fit with you!!!
