Hardest person to shop for in my family!
He's retired, and just buys what he wants when he wants it. He has seasonal depression and doesn't like the holidays much, except for the grandkid part of it. He hates the chaos and people opening gifts and spending money - for real, he hates it. He always asks for a gift card to Walmart or a gas station (and I always get that, plus usually something small and personal from the kids).
My grandpa (his dad) died this year, so I'm making a donation to the arbor foundation in his name (grandpa was a tree LOVER) and will make that part of dad's gift, but any other ideas?
He has a lot of hobbies but literally just buys it himself if he wants it! Just looking for a creative idea. He likes motorcycles, scuba diving, sports.
Re: what are you getting your dad for christmas this year?
My dad is a tough one to shop for too
digital picture frame and a flash drive of family photos? We did this for my dad one year and he LOVES it.
books on motorcycles and/or scuba? an excursion for scuba? underwater camera?
This.
When I've had more money I'll buy things for my dad so that the two of us can have time together. He'll get one ticket to a concert and I'll have the other. Or something like a gift card to a restaurant and/or the movie theater, and there'll be special instructions that say he has to take me. I'm not sure if that works if you're married...but my dad and I are super close so I think he'd still appreciate it and I know DH wouldn't mind.
