cookies/coffee holiday party
so I am having a bunch of friends over for an afternoon (2pm) holiday party, emphasis on the sweets and the hot drinks but will have some non-sweet things to snack on too. What do you think? Any suggestions for menu changes? I started my baking today, made a bunch of chocolate mint cookies. Whatever sweets are leftover from the party will go to neighbors and co-workers as gifts.
cookies/desserts:
-oreo truffles (mint and regular)
-decorated sugar cookies
-cranberry walnut swirls
-sugared pecans
-chocolate mint cookies
-white chocolate dipped pretzels
-gingerbread men
drinks:
coffee
tea
hot chocolate
water
snacks:
tortilla rolls ups
veggie tray
spinach artichoke dip
mini quiches

Re: cookies/coffee holiday party
I think it sounds great! I mean...you could ALWAYS add or remove something but if I showed up at your party I definitely wouldn't be disappointed. Maybe you could let everyone know what you're making and suggest they bring their signature dessert, "if they want to" and/or "if they have one"...so they don't feel obligated but are sort of involved. Also, you could add a drink with a fizz; how about cranberry juice with ginger ale? It's really good if you've never had it.
Again though, even if you leave it as-is, I think what's you've put together is really good.
