For an upcoming piece, we want to know: Are there any holiday foods that you hate?
Re: Holiday foods you hate?
I've got more issues than a magazine
So - from my Minnesota Scandinavian background - I HATE lutefisk & boiled herring! blaaa. Although I love lefse & swedish meatballs!
Fruit cake is awful, I agree!
I have a recipe that apparently can convert the non-eaters.
Pumpkin Pie
and anything made out of Sweet Potatoes.
(maybe it is the orange color of them both?)
Follow my book blog: Panda Reads
Follow me on Goodreads: my read shelf:
Turkey (I know!), sweet potatoes, anything pumpkin, cranberry sauce, and pecan pie
I'm really picky with my holiday food!
Pecan Pie
I've never heard of this before, but
My Blog- The Blonde Brunette
Stuffing ewww. i would never make it and my father likes oyseter stuffing
Agreed! Disgusting!

Gravy. Yuck ... here let me pour fat all over your food for you.
This. Exactly!
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.
I'm not really "against" any one thing in particular, but since I've been eating healthier, everything with grease (gravy, casseroles, sauces, etc.) is kinda a turn-off.
It took me a few years to get used to pickled herring, which is a staple for my husband's side of the family - I still don't get how it goes with the meal...the smell is kinda gross when combined with so many non-similar dishes.
