I saw your post that you had sinus and deviated septum repair surgery. My husband just had a CT last week and they said he has blockages in his sinuses due to cysts or polyps and he has a deviated septum as well. He goes in next week to talk to the doctor about his options (surgery is one option, but not necessarily). Can I ask what was wrong with your sinuses? And how painful is the surgery? Like, on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most painful.
Thanks!
Re: ** Mrs.Couch2b **
I had sinus infections my whole life since I was about 9. No one had ever told me about the deviated septum until I went to a minute clinic when I couldn't get into the regular dr. I started seeing an ENT (Dr. Hahn in Orlando, FABULOUS) in April and we tried several rounds of antibiotics and nasal spray. After a CT scan, they found the deviated septum gave me 95% blockage. They corrected the septum and then widened the sinus passages. Yesterday my pain never went past a 4. I only took the pain pill last night to help me sleep. Yesterday was bleeding a lot and I had gauze under my nose. Today it is just drippy and I can use tissues. Overall, not bad at all. My throat is sore due to the tube down my throat. from being put under. Much better than I thought it would be.
