McNabb finally got his extension.

Thank he can last that long? I am an Eagles fan and when he came to Washington all I could think was that the Skins have no O line and McNabb is going to be rushed and get his butt beat. AND, that is exactly what is happening this season. If they don't get him some protection and consistent receivers, he will just be a standard QB and not the Pro-bowler playoff caliber QB. What do you think?

As an Eaglse fan I've been kind of watching McNabb down in DC and listening to all his latest controversy. Soooooo here's my take...I think it's a bonehead move on the Redskins part McNabb is/was a great QB except he's hurt every other season, he's not throwing like he did when he was recruited to be with Eagles, let''s not even discuss accuracy, and obviously he can't scramble like he used to due to his injuries.
For the Redskins I think that's a lot of money for a team that should invest their money in building a full team and not basing it around one player. Don't get me wrong thought I want McNabb to do well ( not too well against the Eagles of course) but as a football-business move I think it's foolish- McNabb is no Favre with his QB skills.
On a side note- Have you always been an Eagles fan? You're profile says DC...I'm just curious!

I'm a Skins fan and shocked after the coach pulled him in the last game. I like McNabb and was hoping he would stick around for a few years to give the team time to settle down some. Now can I replace the owner?
YES! I think the last face off between McNabb and Vick was during an NFC title game and the Falcons won! Vick and Jackson are primo!

Why would you give a 5yr extension to a 33 year old player?? He will get hurt again & he is done. I think he is too much of a liability...

I had 2 questions asked and I wasn't on last night after I posted...sorry.
Yes, I have always been an Eagles fan. I grew up in South Jersey so Philadelphia sports all the way. I went to school in Morgantown so I love my 'Eers and followed DH to DC where he is from. We agree to disagree about sports and I have learned to keep the gloating to a minimum after the last few seasons the Skins have had.
DH stopped watching during the second quarter. He kept the game on, but muted it so he didn't have to hear what was going on and just looked at the score every once in a while. Poor thing.
