MIL and I saw the Princess Diana exhibit

and it was beyond amazing...if you are a Princess Diana fan, this is for you. I can't tell how emotional I felt when I walked in and saw her wedding dress.

And even though her gowns and other outfits are behind glass, you're so close to them...it's such a strange feeling to know you are *this* close to something that she actually wore.

It was amazing how faded some of the dresses are...it just shows how many paparrazo were photographing her at one time!

The exhibit was AMAZING.

  • Thanks for sharing your experience!

Just curious...what makes you such a big Diana fan?

  • I'm really looking forward to seeing this.  Thanks for the good review.

Did you guys see that Prince William got engaged?  Alas, it wasn't to me.  Despite my daydreams in junior high, it looks like I will not be Princess of England.  Stick out tongue

Because I feel like she was the perfect lady. Beautiful, classy, cared about other people...

The last one is a big one for me. She was the first big "celebrity" to touch a leper and an AIDS patient. She could have wrapped up in her lavish royal life and been a lady of leisure. But she spent her time making a serious difference for other people.

  • Did you feel rushed once you were in? We have tickets for Dec. 4.  I am beyond excited.  I am a bit concerned that I will get emotional.  I am a very emotional person to begin with..Then to be that close to the Peoples Princess belongings...I would think it would be a bit overwhelming.
