Re: Office PEEVES!!!!

  • When I get an email that reads something like...

"Shh, Will you email so-and-so and tell him xyz."

In the amount of time that it took the person to write the email to me, they could have emailed the person already.

  • Constantly being asked random questions that my supervisor is simply too lazy to figure out for himself. They include how to spell words, phone #'s that can be found on our website, using microsoft office, and randomshit that google can answer. His office is accross from mine and he's half deaf so half the time I have to get up in order to answer his stupid questions, though I try and just yell my answers him so I don't have to. That's probably pretty annoying to my coworkers, but oh well!

  • The fact the 90% of the time my boss doesn't think full picture.  She'll think one thing went wrong, until I suggest the possibility of something else, and then I get "Oh, I didn't think about that."  Tell me again, why is she the one with the PhD?
  • Squeesh--I'm happy to report that my gum chomper has stopped her habit!  Hooray for me--at least for awhile.  Sorry that you are still suffering.

Right now, my biggest peeve is just the whole "jumping into a conversation 1/2 way, putting in your 2 cents, but not really having ANY REAL idea of what is going on."  It's OK to not comment on something someone said.

  • Yesterday our department's copier/printer ran out of both ink and paper.  Of course everyone stands around and complains about it.  I didn't have anything that needed to be printed/copied, but I was so sick of hearing about it I called the service guy to let him know and then ran downstairs to grab paper from our mail room so we could print with the little ink we had left.  Seriously?  No one else thought of a way to solve the problem?  Keep in mind there is a note attached to the copier/printer that says "Call so-and-so if you need service, paper or ink!"  Ugh!
  • Another - not letting me eat in peace.  Either interrupting me with conversation or having to fill for someone b.c they need to go file.  Really give me 10 minutes to digest my food.

  • People who come to work sick.

    Lying boss.

People who whistle, hum or sing.

    The A/C on when it's 50? outside.

People who have nothing better to do than to sit on the phone with personal crap!

I'm sure there are more but that's all I can think of right now!
