24-hours of college basketball
I'm surprised no one brought this up....
Did anyone watch any of the games? DH recorded the 2nd half of St. John's/St. Mary's, which played at 2:00am today.
And when I left, it was Monmouth/Stonybrook and for a 6:00am tipoff, the gym was very crowded....
I know we have a lot of college football fans here, but I heart college basketball.
I swim because I'm too damned sexy for a sport that requires real clothing.
Re: 24-hours of college basketball
Not sure if this is still part of the 24 hrs, I am watching the Duke v Miami (OH) game right now.
I did see that there was a game on when I was at work this morning and was confused for a moment.
We flipped over there tonight to see Butler and Louisville for a few minutes. I only cared because that reminded me how hot Butler's coach is.
R.O.W.R.
I was asking DH this morning who would play ball at 2/4/6am? that's got to mess w/the players bodies you'd think
Michigan State playing now, which is hard, I can't stay up to watch it, too late on the east coast when you have kids that will be up early in the morning
wish I was home to see the Baylor/Uconn women's game though, Baylor almost ended UConns win streak
Ewww.
Really enjoyed the Butler game until all the fouls and free throws. Go Cards!
DH is friends with Steve Lavin (St. John's coach) and the reason why Steve agreed to the quick turnaround (STJ plays Columbia tonight) is that it gets the players accostumed to quick turnaround times, which is typical in holiday tourney play and teams play 2-3 (or 4) games in a 2-3 day timespan.
It's also a money maker for the smaller schools that played and a great promotion as well.
Yeah...good point. At least they did it on a random night, like a Tuesday...
But I guess with all those random tournaments that carry us through the rest of preseason, they couldn't really do it. Maybe.
