XP from local: cocktail/appetizer for wedding celebration

My sister and her BF (now DH) got married a few weeks ago in Vegas - kind of sudden although they have been living together for over a year now so not entirely unexpected I guess.
We are throwing them a wedding celebration when they are in town for Thanksgiving.
It's on the actual day of Thanksgiving (long story - but basically the only time people could come) so we don't need a meal. However, I would like to have some sort of a special appetizer and cocktail and I need ideas please!
Theme ideas:
Rock (her new last name)
Vegas wedding
NYC (where they live)
beach wedding (what they will do next year for family to attend)

How about Champagne with raspberries in each glass? It's very wedding-y and it won't compete with the flavor of the foods.
As far as appetizers go, how about little shrimp displayed in a nice way like in little shot glasses with cocktail sauce? Hmmm, I'm drawing a blank for wedding/celebratory appetizers.
