Recommend fun family fall/ Halloween activiities in the area
Now that my son is 2 we want to start taking him to some of these things since I love this time of year but he is too young for "haunted things"
Any recommendations appreciated!

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom is so much fun. You can dress him up for it to.
Pumpkin patches make for good photo ops.
Celebration, FL used to have a falling leaves festival in Oct.. not sure if they still do though.
i agree with pp about pumpkin patches!
--I second Mickey's!
--Lots of area churches have pumpkin patches and kid friendly stuff
--Check out the calendar section in the Sentinel every Friday - they list all sorts of community events.
--Even the malls get into the Halloween spirit!
Have fun!
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is definitely worth the cash!
Last year Celebration had a nice pumpkin patch set up where we took photos.
The Central Florida Zoo is also having Halloween events this year.
St. Mary Magdalene in Altamonte does a great fair in mid-October every year and you don't have to be a church member to attend (we're not). It's the 17, 18 and 19th this year. They have a section of rides and games for small children every year that our daughter loves. There's also a huge food area and beer garden for the adults (although I don't consider 3 types of beer much of a garden) as well as a section of rides and carnival games for older children.
Parking and admission is free with games and rides costing much less than a regular fair. We usually take $40 dollars and that's plenty for our daughter to play some games, ride a few rides, have a snack and a meal. http://www.stmarymagdalen.org/Seasonal/CommunityFest/CommunityFest.htm
For Halloween themed activity do Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween or the Zoo Boo at Sanford's zoo. They are designed for young children.
I love Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween.

Seaworld is having a spooktacular on the weekends. Kids can dress up and trick or treat around the park.

I think that Green Medows is having a hay ride and pumpkin patch http://www.greenmeadowsfarm.com/
I have a daughter who just turned two at the of June.
We will be taking her to Sea World (we have annual passes).
To Green Meadows farm (we are going one weekend w/ a playgroup).
I would live to take her to Mickey's not so scary halloween party but I feel its a little expensive (especially since she will not remember it anyways).
Last year we went to Boo at the Zoo in Sanford so we might do that again.
