I was just talking to a friend today about the possibility of him moving to another country very soon, and it got me thinking:
Do you have any "big ideas" that you and your partner hope to accomplish one day? Like what?
C and I want very much to take a longer-than-vacation trip abroad - to live in another country for a summer, or at least a month. Spain, England and Scotland are some possibilities...
We also dream of one day owning our own business (and have a couple of ideas

Re: Big Ideas
We want to have kids!
I say that a little tongue-in-cheek, but really, that is our primary "big idea". I think we've lived abroad as much as we have wanted to-- I most recently (2006) spent a little over a month living in Sudan, and Sylvia grew up in Okinawa-- and we're pretty much homebodies anyway.
One other thing we'd both like to do, but realistically will probably never do, is design (and have built) a house for us. A slightly more attainable dream of ours is to run a B&B when we're retired.
IUI #3 gave us the best 2nd anniv. gift ever: 2 babies! (born 03/09/10)
Peanut and Little Man are getting so big! 2 years old already!
finally blogging again at This Will Be: An Adventure
well, aside from c having wanted to own a bar for years, our goal right now is to finish some remodeling on the house. our big aspiration now is to have kids and make a family together. we'd like to do some more traveling, but i've lived on both sides of the country, and we both love our house and are happy where we are, so i don't foresee us wanting to move anywhere else.
that's really boring, isn't it?
this post made my heart flutter
I am a dreamer and have always had a million big ideas!
One of the wonderful things about andrea is that she wants to make every single one come true - in her mind, they aren't dreams, but rather plans that we are working towards. i wont bore you with my insanely long list but here's the top 4:
1) have kids/become foster moms
2) own a lake house (cottage) w/ a boat (i gotta say, this one is more andrea than me
3) design and build our own home (specifically a log cabin style house)
4) Own/run an equine therapy ranch together

Me: 1) Kids 2) Move back to CA 3) Own a farm
K: 1) Kids 2) Teach overseas (particularly Dubai) 3) Own a 'spy' theme bar
I'm warming up to the possibility of moving to Dubai, as I have a very good friend that has the opportunity to move there. I think if I knew I'd have a friend there (obviously other than K, b/c she'll be teaching) I'd be willing to take a leap.
Well we did our big one of having kids.
We'd like to move (which is really needed since we currently live in a crappy school system) to a single family home. We are trying to decide if we should stay in this area (DC) or move north (CT, RI, MA) in the next few years. We didn't travel as much as we wanted/should have before kids, so we are looking forward to an overseas trip when the kids are older (we'll take them.)
We really want to live on the water (and I want a boat.) Hopefully we can make that happen one day.
For us the big ones are probably:
have kiddies
build our own home
travel more... including an extended trip through Europe
I would also love to got back to school for my master's and ph.d.
Pretty run of the mill.

Bloggity Blog - You know you want to...
i didn't even think about it when i posted yesterday, but we would love to have a cabin on some land in the hocking hills area of ohio. we go there pretty frequently to camp and go kayaking and such, but we'd love to have our own little getaway down there. we actually joked the other day about how this is certainly the time to be a buyer, but there's no way we could do it right now.
