My hubby and I just moved right outside of Charleston and trying to meet new people. Any suggestions on where to go or what to do?
Re: New to the area
Welcome! I'm a Charleston Nestie, too. It's an amazing city. We've met people mostly from work, but you could also look into Meetup.com. It's considered the "Holy City", so if you're religious, a church group would be a good way to meet people, too.
Head onto the Peninsula for some seriously great restaurants and shopping. There are lots of great dog parks (if you have a pooch) and water activities at the county parks. There's always the beach. Look for festivals at places like Boone Hall Plantation or Drayton Hall. We both grew up vacationing here, so we've done a lot of the touristy stuff, but it's still interesting. Honestly, we've never been bored since moving here.
Welcome to Charleston! My husband and I moved here in March and we love it. There are sooo many things to do here. So many great restaurants and great shopping. The waterfront downtown is beautiful.. Folly Beach is amazing.. Mt. Pleasant, IOP, Sullivan's Island, Boone Hall Plantation.. it is all great! You will never be bored in this wonderful city!
